The Faculty of Nursing at Burapha University extended a warm welcome to visiting administrators, faculty members, and students from the University of Immaculate Conception, Davao City and Pilar College of Zamboanga, Inc., Philippines—marking a promising step toward new international academic engagements.<br /> <br /> On March 30, 2026, at the Nopparat Conference Room, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saifone Moungkum, Associate Dean for International Strategic Affairs and Graduate Studies, led the welcoming ceremony alongside faculty members. The delegation from Davao City was headed by Asst. Prof. Mr. Christian Joy C. Salas, Dean of the College of Nursing, with 11 participants, and five faculty members and students joined from Pilar College of Zamboanga in Zamboanga City.<br /> <br /> Although formal agreements are yet to be established, the visit reflects a shared interest in building meaningful academic connections. The participating institutions are engaging in benchmarking activities and exploratory discussions on potential collaborations—both academic and cultural—under the **Student Program for Academic Residency and Knowledge-sharing (SPARK): Inbound International Nursing Students Exchange Mobility Program**, scheduled from March 29 to April 3, 2026.<br /> <br /> The initiative aims to strengthen institutional linkages, enrich teaching and learning practices in nursing education, and create platforms for cross-cultural exchange among faculty and students. Through this engagement, the Faculty of Nursing continues to expand its global outlook—fostering partnerships that contribute to the long-term advancement and sustainability of the nursing profession.
Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University had the distinct pleasure of hosting a memorable certificate presentation ceremony to honor nursing students from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway. On March 20, 2026, in the welcoming atmosphere of the Nopparat Conference Room, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saifone Moungkum, Associate Dean for International Strategic Affairs and Graduate Studies, gracefully led our faculty members in extending heartfelt congratulations to five exceptional nursing students. These bright individuals were awarded their well-deserved certificates upon the successful completion of the "Academic and Cultural Exchange Program between the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway." Spanning from January 12 to March 20, 2026, this enriching program allowed the students to deeply immerse themselves in both valuable academic knowledge and vibrant cultural experiences. This beautiful farewell marks yet another meaningful milestone in cultivating our international academic partnerships and empowering the next generation of nursing professionals to gracefully step onto the global stage.
Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, Organizes the “Global Care Nursing Exchange Program (GCNEP)” to Enhance International Competencies From February 8–13, 2026, the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, organized the Global Care Nursing Exchange Program (GCNEP) at the University of the Immaculate Conception in Davao City, Philippines. This international exchange initiative supported nine faculty members, staff, and nursing students in participating in academic and professional activities abroad. The delegation was led by Lecturer Achariyaporn Detyotin from the Community Nursing department, who guided the team in engaging in knowledge exchange related to academics and professional practice. The program aimed to enhance learning through real-world international experiences, broaden perspectives on global health systems, and strengthen professional competencies within diverse multicultural academic environments. In addition, the delegation participated in the International Research Congress on Healthcare 2026, which focused on the theme “Nursing Leadership in Asia-Pacific: Integrating Smart Health Systems and Ethical Community Practice for Health Equity.” Faculty members presented their research and exchanged knowledge while building academic collaboration networks with international institutions. This initiative reinforces the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University’s commitment to internationalization and its ongoing efforts to advance the quality of nursing education in line with the evolving dynamics of global health systems.
Faculty of Nursing at Burapha University extended a prestigious welcome to the scholarship sponsors from Scandinavian Village, Bangsaen, on February 12, 2026. Held at the Dok Peep Meeting Room, the event saw 24 aspiring nursing students participate in interviews for this generous scholarship program. Through this meaningful scholarship, we celebrate a continued commitment to educational empowerment. By providing these vital opportunities, we are working hand-in-hand to prepare our students to become highly competent professionals who will make a lasting impact on healthcare.
