Global Partnership for Sustainability: Burapha University Nursing Students Join the Global Network for a Sustainable Future<br /> <br /> Nursing students from the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University participated in the Global University Student Network (GUSN) 2026 under the theme “Global Partnership for Sustainability.”<br /> <br /> From 14–16 September 2026, at Siam University, community-based learning sites, and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP), Bangkok, four nursing students from the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University were selected to participate in the GUSN 2026 program. The participants included two students from the Master of Nursing Science Program (International Program) and two students from the Bachelor of Nursing Science Program (English Program).<br /> <br /> The program aims to enhance students’ potential and prepare them to become “Global Citizens” through learning and exchanging experiences with students from diverse institutions and cultural backgrounds. The program focuses on developing essential skills, including intercultural communication, teamwork, systems thinking, exchanging perspectives on global issues, and building international networks and partnerships.<br /> <br /> Throughout the program, the nursing students had opportunities to participate in learning activities and educational visits, as well as exchange ideas and engage in activities with students from diverse countries. These experiences broadened their perspectives on different social and cultural contexts and provided valuable opportunities to strengthen their international experiences and develop essential skills for working and living in an increasingly interconnected world.<br /> <br /> The participation of Burapha University nursing students in GUSN 2026 reflects their capacity to learn, exchange perspectives, and build meaningful connections with international networks, contributing to their development as globally minded nursing professionals.
Burapha University Faculty of Nursing Engages in Academic Discussion with Japanese Research Team<br /> <br /> On September 16, 2026, at the Nopparat Meeting Room, 6th Floor, Nopparat Building, Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, Assoc. Prof. Dr.Nisakorn Krungkraipetch, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, together with Asst. Prof. Dr.Patcharin Poonthawe, Head of Community Nursing Group, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wannarat Lawang, Lecturer in the Community Nursing Department, held an academic discussion with a research team from Japan, led by Prof. Katsumasa Ota.<br /> <br /> The discussion focused on Crisis Management, with an exchange of information, ideas, and academic perspectives related to crisis management. The meeting also explored opportunities for developing research initiatives and strengthening academic collaboration between the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, and researchers from Japan.<br /> <br /> Faculty of Nursing, BuraphaUniversity continues to strengthen international research and academic networks while fostering knowledge exchange and exploring opportunities to further develop collaboration in areas related to nursing and crisis management in the future.
<strong>Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University Welcomes Representative from Wakayama Medical University, Japan, to Discuss Academic Collaboration</strong><br /> <br /> On September 14, 2026, at the Nopparat Meeting Room, 6th Floor, Nopparat Building, Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nisakorn Krungkraipetch, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, together with faculty members from the Faculty of Nursing and the Faculty of Medicine, Burapha University, welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Takashi Yamano from Wakayama Medical University, Japan, on the occasion of his visit to the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University.<br /> <br /> On this occasion, the Faculty of Nursing and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Takashi Yamano engaged in discussions and exchanged perspectives on research and potential areas of collaboration, including the exchange of research knowledge and experiences, as well as opportunities to develop future academic and joint research collaboration.<br /> <br /> The meeting reflects the Faculty of Nursing’s commitment to strengthening research collaboration between Burapha University and Wakayama Medical University, while further expanding and strengthening academic networks between Thailand and Japan for continued collaboration in the future.
Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, Joins The 28th Annual Meeting of the Japan Osteoporosis Society, Strengthening Thailand–Japan Academic Collaboration<br /> <br /> On 13 September 2026, at Toki Messe Niigata Convention Center, Japan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornchai Jullamate, Former Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, together with Dr. Yupawan Thongtanunam, Associate Dean for Strategic Partnerships and Social Engagement, Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, were invited by Prof. Dr. Noriaki Yamamoto, President of The 28th Annual Meeting of the Japan Osteoporosis Society, Director of Niigata Rehabilitation Hospital, and Board Member of FFN-Japan, to participate in The 28th Annual Meeting of the Japan Osteoporosis Society.<br /> <br /> On this occasion, Dr. Yupawan Thongtanunam delivered a presentation entitled “Empowering Older Women against Osteoporosis: A Holistic Nursing Perspective from Thailand.” The presentation highlighted a holistic nursing perspective on health promotion and osteoporosis prevention among older women, drawing on the Thai context. It also provided an opportunity to exchange academic knowledge, experiences, and perspectives with international experts.<br /> <br /> The Faculty of Nursing, Burapha University, continues to strengthen academic collaboration networks between Thailand and Japan, while promoting knowledge exchange in nursing, medicine, older adult healthcare, and research. These efforts aim to foster further collaboration and jointly advance academic knowledge and professional development in the future.
